There has already been plenty of moments, our first arriving at our first camp just south of crescent head on dark, absolutely bucketing rain. I got out in my boardies and ran around like a wet bandicoot and set up the tent while the family stayed dry in our packed to the hilt Landcruiser. We were soon eating dinner under our canvas shelter.
I was first up in the morning poking my head out to see small but fun waves reeling down the point only 100 meters away from our temporary home. My son was first out while I ran around putting fins in boards, getting my other kids organised with sunblock rashies etc.
Ended up been a great day, besides my daughter going over the handle bars of bike and getting bitten by a jumping red ant(not at the same time).
I have my shaping tools packed in the trailer and plan to shape around the country. First stint will be Sydney next week, starting the 25th of Feb at the Laminator in Mona Vale. So any one interested in ordering a custom, drop me an email luke@lsdsurfboards.com or call me 0416 183 576.
After Sydney I am looking at a shaping stint down in Torquay, Victoria. the dates are yet to be locked in.
I also have the boys back at the LSD factory in Yamba ticking things over, it's a beautiful thing that I can design a board from my campsite watching the waves roll by, then email the file to the factory and the guys will then machine, finish the boards off and ship them out.
Will keep you posted with more of our adventures and shaping dates.
cheers
